Come to Me

maryMessage from July 25, 1989 to Marija

“Dear children! Today I am calling you to renew your hearts. Open yourselves to God and surrender to him all your difficulties and crosses so, God may turn everything into joy. Little children, you cannot open yourselves to God if you do not pray. Therefore, from today, decide to consecrate a time in the day only for an encounter with God in silence. In that way you will be able, with God, to witness my presence here. Little children, I do not wish to force you. Rather freely give God your time, like children of God. Thank you for having responded to my

risenchrist2“Come to me, all you that labour, and are burdened,
and I will refresh you. Take up my yoke upon you, and learn
of me, because I am meek, and humble of heart: and you shall
find rest to your souls. For my yoke is sweet and my burden light”.
-Matthew 11:28-30

 Pray your rosary today for all your crosses!

Never Forget 9-11-2001, Let us Pray!

sept11As the twelfth anniversary of 9/11 approaches us tomorrow, please remember those lives lost on that tragic day and the impact it has had on our nation since. There will be a national moment of silence starting at 0846 (Eastern) and flags are to be flown at half-staff from sunup to sundown. We will never forget.

Let us remember all the families involved in this tragedy. Remember them while we pray our Rosaries, Divine Mercy Chaplets and any other prayers through out the day.

medjmary“Dear children; I love you all. All of you, all of my children, all of you are in my heart. All of you have my motherly love and I desire to lead all of you to come to know God’s joy.

To know this joy is to receive the love of Our Lord and to be able to walk among the chaos feeling the His peace around us. Let us pray for this peace to surround us so that we may feel the love Our Lady is sharing with us. With the Love of Our Lady we can spread God’s joy.

This is why I am calling you. I need humble apostles who, with an open heart, will accept the Word of God and help others to comprehend the meaning of their life along side God’s word. To be able to do this, my children, through prayer and fasting you must learn to listen with the heart and to learn to keep submitting yourselves.

Our Blessed Mother cares for us so much that she shows us how to do it. We must keep our hearts open and be willing to accept the gifts and graces of Our Lord. As a mother would, she is teaching us. With prayer and fasting we can learn to listen to God’s word and die to self to live for Our Lord.

You must learn to keep rejecting everything that distances you from God’s word and to yearn only for that which draws you closer to it. Do not be afraid. I am here. You are not alone.

This is important, we must detach ourselves from anything that draws us away from God. Sometimes this is hard, sometimes we don’t know how to do this and sometimes it is just easier to ignore and keep doing what we are doing. Let us remember, Do not be afraid, I am here. You are not alone. Here again we have the tools which Our Blessed Mother has given us, prayer and fasting.

I am imploring the Holy Spirit to renew and strengthen you. I am imploring the Holy Spirit that, as you help others, you too may be healed. I am imploring Him that, through Him, you may be God’s children and my apostles.

Let us remember as we walk this conversion of the heart, we draw closer to Our Lady, Our Lord and The Holy Spirit. Our Blessed Mother is praying for us, Our Blessed Mother is interceding on our behalf, Our Blessed Mother is guiding us. What more could we ask for?

Then with great concern Our Lady said:

For the sake of Jesus, for the sake of my Son, love those whom He has called and long for the blessing only from the hands which He has consecrated. Do not permit evil to come to reign. Anew I repeat – only along side your shepherds will my heart triumph. Do not permit evil to separate you from your shepherds. Thank you.”

Let us always remember to pray for our shepherds!

Pope leads mass vigil for peace

popeprayerPope Francis led a mass vigil for peace in Syria on St Peter’s square as millions of Catholics worldwide were joined by other faiths in a day of fasting and prayer.

Tens of thousands gathered in St Peter’s Square for the four-hour event, with smaller gatherings held in churches, mosques and synagogues around the globe.

Francis has called for a “cry for peace” from humanity, firmly opposing all fighting including the military strikes against the Syrian regime being pushed by the United States and France.

I know we have all read this but how simple it sounds. If we could only let go of ourselves so we can actually follow these simple rules. Let us pray for the guidance and strength so that we can walk the walk. Remember what St. Francis has said “Preach the Gospel and if necessary use words.”

teresaAnyway by Mother Teresa

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self centered; Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you’ve got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and your God;
It was never between you and them anyway.

Pope Francis: Christianity is a way of life, not a label

popefrancisBy Kerri Lenartowick

Vatican City, Aug 25, 2013 / 09:38 am (CNA/EWTN News).- In his Sunday Angelus audience, Pope Francis emphasized the importance of truly living a Christian life rather than letting it become a superficial label.

“In the gospel, Jesus tells us that to be a Christian is not to have a ‘label’ but to live and testify to faith in prayer, in works of charity, in the promotion of justice, in doing good,” Pope Francis told the audience gathered in St. Peter’s Square Aug. 25.

Jesus himself is the way to a truly lived faith, explained the Pope.

Sunday’s gospel reading includes the story of a man who asks Jesus if there are few that will be saved.

“Jesus doesn’t respond directly to the question: it is not important to know how many will be saved, but above all it is important to know the way of salvation,” Pope Francis recounted. “Jesus tells us that there is a door to enter into the family of God. This door is Jesus.”

Jesus offers himself as the way of salvation to all.

“Everyone is invited to enter this door, to go through the door of faith, to enter into His life, and to allow Jesus into their lives, so that he may transform them, renew them, and give them full and lasting joy.”

The Pope went on to say that today there are many doors “inviting us to enter, promising instant happiness, which is an end in itself and has no future.”

But Jesus “shines a light in our lives that never goes out. It is more than just a flash.”

We must not be afraid to enter the door of faith in Jesus, encouraged Pope Francis. We must not be afraid “to let him enter more and more into our lives, to get out of our selfishness, our being closed off, our indifference towards others.”

This way of Jesus is “narrow” because “he asks us to open our heart to him, to recognize ourselves as sinners in need of his salvation, his forgiveness, his love, and to have the humility to accept his mercy and let us be renewed by him.”

The Pope led the crowds in the Angelus prayer. He then spoke of his concern for the continuing situation of violence in Syria.

“From the depths of my heart, I wish to express my closeness in prayer and solidarity to all the victims of this conflict, to all those who suffer, especially the children,” he said.

“Let us pray together, ‘Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us’.”

prayWill you join Pope Francis in prayer and fasting for peace in Syria on September 7th?
May no effort be spared in guaranteeing humanitarian assistance to those wounded by this terrible conflict, in particular those forced to flee and the many refugees in nearby countries.
All men and women of good will are bound by the task of pursuing peace. May the plea for peace rise up and touch the heart of everyone so that they may lay down their weapons and be let themselves be led by the desire for peace.
I proclaim 7 September a day of fasting and prayer for peace in Syria, the Middle East, and throughout the world, and I also invite each person, including our fellow Christians, followers of other religions and all men of good will, to participate, in whatever way they can, in this initiative. On 7 September, in Saint Peter’s Square, 7PM – 12PM we will gather in prayer and in a spirit of penance, invoking God’s great gift of peace upon the beloved nation of Syria. I ask all the local churches, in addition to fasting, that they gather to pray for this intention. Let us ask Mary to help us to respond to violence, to conflict and to war, with the power of dialogue, reconciliation and love. She is our mother: may she help us to find peace; all of us are her children! Help us, Mary, to overcome this most difficult moment and to dedicate ourselves each day to building in every situation an authentic culture of encounter and peace. Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us! Let us all say it together: Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us!

My Beloved Soul

jesus-love-newHow difficult it is for you to see yourself as I see you.   I don’t see the wounded self, I see the healed self.  I don’t see the weak self, I see the strong soul at the core of who you are.  I don’t see the questioning spirit, I see the listening spirit, the one whose heart is turned toward me.  I don’t see you searching for answers,  I see you in search of my truth for you.  I am beside you, healing you, giving you strength, guiding you.  I  see you only as My Beloved Soul.

 “We know that God makes all things work together for those who love God and are called according to his degree……..What shall we say after that?  If God is for us,who can be against us?    Romans 8: 28, 31
